I was in New York just recently to attend Teen Vogue Fashion University for the second time (stay tuned for the full post about the event). This is the look I decided to go with for the Teen Vogue + Express kickoff party. I kept to a very neutral color palette - black, white, with a hint of rust brown - and allowed the multiple textures in the look to really take center stage. Playing with a mix of textures is always one of my favorite ways to style. Oh, and fun fact, these photos were shot on Jones Street in West Village, the same street Bob Dylan's The Freewheelin' album cover was shot. It often blows my mind to think about how many incredibly cool things in history have happened among these New York City streets.
