Ladylike in Leather

When it comes to styling, one of my favorite techniques is taking something very girly and mixing it with something a bit tough. I think the use of contrasting styles provides a sense of balance and interest to a look. So, with that being said, for this look, I paired a very feminine floral swing dress with some leather leggings, which I felt gave it a bit of a harder edge. I added a fitted blazer to pull the flowing layers back in with some tailoring. And because this is a mostly black look, I couldn't resist the chance to really allow some funky and colorful shoes to pop. I topped the look off with a tapestry scarf to coordinate with the heels, and because, let's be real, I love my layers.
