2013

I believe it's safe to say 2013 was a pretty incredible year filled with some very special and exciting events. Honestly, I don't know any other way I'd rather start a year than having my style and blog featured in a fashion magazine, and Teen Vogue, at that. What an enormous honor. I know I've said it a million and three times, but thank you, thank you, thank you, Andrew Bevan! Then, there was being a part of the Jonas Brothers' "Pom Poms" music video. A real life, Vevo verified music video, not one I made on my pink Barbie video camera to a Spice Girls song at age seven in my bedroom... Because, yes, those do actually exist. Haha! Following shooting the video, I had the pleasure of visiting New Orleans, which has since become one of my favorite cities of all time. There's a very special place for the French Quarter and Cafe du Monde's heavenly beignets in my heart. I also traveled to Asheville, North Carolina, and visited the Biltmore. Really, there are no words to completely capture how visually fulfilling and marvelous the estate is. All I can say is, I never knew my chateau adoring dreams could ever come to life to the extent that they did the moment I beheld the enchanting home. In October, I had the ever so exciting opportunity of attending Teen Vogue's Fashion University in New York City. Fashion festivities and New York City all in one trip... What's not to love? Really, though, attending TVFU was such an incredible experience. To be given the honor of sitting in seminars and listening to fashion industry leaders, not to mention meeting so many other people who not only appreciate my interests, but also share them, was an experience I will forever hold dear. I count myself incredibly blessed to say so many wonderful things occurred in the past year, which created so many cherished memories. And so... As 2014 begins, I plan to embrace every moment of this next year with even more optimistic eyes than the last. I can't wait to see what excitement and adventure lies ahead. Let the good times roll.
